Dr Scheidt Dr. Scheidt
Dr. Stephanie Scheidt moved to Fresno from Canada and graduated from Clovis West High School in 1992. She attended California State University Fresno and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in 1996. While at Fresno State she married George Scheidt, and together they moved to Sacramento so she could attend UC Davis Veterinary School.
After four years in veterinary school, Dr. Scheidt graduated with a special interest in internal medicine and surgery, and a new addition to the family, little baby Grace. The couple moved back to Fresno where Dr. Scheidt worked for four years in private practice. After the addition of her son Gannon, Dr. Scheidt purchased Sierra View Animal Hospital. Dr. Rick Constantino continues to see clients two days a month here at the clinic, but will enjoy his free time dancing with his wife and enjoying his family. With Dr. Rick and his team, Dr. Scheidt hopes to continue to provide a friendly family environment with the highest level of veterinary care. In addition to Grace and Gannon, Dr. Scheidt shares her home with Motor, a young goldendoodle.
Dr. Scheidt sees most small mammals. If they are furry and cute, they are welcome here at the clinic. No feathers or scales though, sorry! Please feel free to ask the staff about any concerns you may have with the changes we will be seeing in the short future. We hope that you are as thrilled with the changes as we are!

Since they have more free time they have been able to exercise more at a local gym. Dr. Constantino says the one new adventure he has been pursuing is learning to speak Spanish.

Golden Retriever fosters orphaned French Bulldog puppies
Diamond was a 1 year old French Bulldog. She and her friend, Chopper, also a French Bulldog, were expecting their first litter. A c-section was needed to help Diamond give birth to her puppies. She had 1 boy and 3 girls!! Diamond was transferred to the emergency hospital after her procedure for continued care; sadly she passed away in the early hours of morning. Diamond's family had little time to mourn the loss of their beloved Diamond as her now orphaned puppies needed around the clock attention. The puppies bottle fed every couple of hours and were cared for around the clock. However, after a few days the puppies were not eating well and even after hourly feedings, they started to lose weight.
Thankfully a guardian angel came to the rescue, Carol McDonald, our local Doodle breeder came in and heard about the orphaned Frenchies and wanted to help. She offered to let her Golden Retriever, Milou, stay with Diamond's family for a while to help nurse the orphaned puppies. Milou's own litter of puppies had just been weaned and no longer needed their mom's milk. So now Milou is going to show four Frenchies how to be Retrievers.
